In 1973 Gianni Versace and Guy Paulin established Byblos, followed by the English designers Keith Varty and Alan Cleaver from 1981. Know as "Byblos boys" Keith and Alan understand completely the italian sensibility. "A company like Byblos doesn't exist in England" they told. "Coming to Italy opened our eyes to the importance of quality. The British have a whole different sense of priorities". It is obvious that genius like them created an unique and orignal style which identified all Byblos collection. Since its birth, many fashion designers have been part of Byblos include Richard Tyler, John Bartlett and Martine Sitbon.
