Roberto Cavalli presented his first collection under his own label in 1970 in Paris. He invented a revolutionary printing procedure on leather and started creating patchworks of different materials. The collection was later presented also in Florence and Milan. Two years later in 1972 the first boutique was opened in Saint- Tropez. In the following years plenty of shops opened around the globe, gaining Cavalli worldwide fame.
